Data stored in the app

Your saved plans stay on your iPhone. Using the assistant sends the text or audio of that conversation to OpenAI. Other people can access your plan only if you deliberately create a share link.

Shared links

When you create a link, the information needed to display the instruction may become accessible to people who have that link. You can share an open link or protect it with a code if the information is sensitive.

A person opening a Planific link does not need to create an account or install the app.

Photos, videos, and content

If you add photos, videos, or other details to shared instructions, those contents may be visible to people who have access to the corresponding link.

Shared content is associated with a random installation identifier to verify who can edit it or revoke its links.

Writing assistant

If you start a voice conversation, microphone audio is sent to OpenAI in real time so the assistant can respond, transcribe it, and prepare an editable draft. Microphone access requires your permission; details are available in the assistant’s Privacy menu. Planific does not keep an audio recording on its servers. The session is associated with a pseudonymous installation security identifier, not a Planific account.

If you use the assistant in text mode, your text is also sent to OpenAI to prepare the draft. Nothing is sent to the assistant unless you use it. Text and transcripts, like the audio session, are associated with the pseudonymous installation identifier to operate and secure the service.

“Expand this step” sends the plan’s text as context to refine the selected step. Photos and videos are excluded from this assistant request.

Installation security

Planific uses a random installation identifier and Apple App Attest to verify that sharing and assistant requests come from a legitimate copy of the app, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits. These elements are not used for advertising or cross-app or cross-site tracking.

Providers and deletion

Cloudflare hosts links, media, and security controls. OpenAI processes only text, transcripts, and audio sent when you use the assistant. By default, OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring logs containing this data for up to 30 days. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless data sharing is explicitly enabled. Revoking a link makes it inaccessible and triggers deletion of its hosted media.

No sale of personal data

Planific does not sell personal data, serve targeted advertising, or track activity across apps or websites. Data is used only to operate, secure, and protect the app and the links you choose to create.
